Preventative treatment and treatment of pressure ulcers in-home health services

Pressure ulcers in patients who remain at home and require special professional care due to limited mobility or immobility are common problems. CleaDerma DCB ointment is a powerful treatment for stage 1-4 pressure ulcers and preventative treatment. The first step in prevention is identifying patients who may develop ulcers; preventive measures can be taken in advance.

Test Facts

  • The test was done in home health service (189 patients)
  • 127 new cases of pressure ulcers per month
  • 90-110 cases managed monthly
  • Patients treated with CleaDerma DCB ointment, 49 patients prone to develop pressure ulcers, and 140 existing cases of pressure ulcers.
  • CleaDerma DCB was applied 3 times daily to the wound and surrounding area and 2 times to the area prone to developing pressure ulcers.

After 10 days

  • 0 cases with 49 patients at risk of developing pressure ulcers (some instances of stage 1 were detected but terminated fast by the CleaDerma DCB).
  • 127 cases out of 140 existing pressure ulcers showed moderate to good improvement in wound/surrounding skin condition

After 20 days

  • 1 out of 49 patients at risk developed a stage 2 pressure ulcer.
  • 13 cases of stage 2 ulcers out of 140 existing ulcers were healed
  • 50 cases of stage 3 showed more than 50% improvement
  • 64 cases of stage 3 showed more than 40.5% improvement

After 40 days

  • 0 cases with 49 patients at risk of developing pressure ulcers (some instances of stage 1 were detected but terminated fast by the CleaDerma DCB, and the one stage 2 wound healed).
  • Out of 140 existing cases and 10 new patients with stages 2-3 ulcers, 114 cases of stages 2-4 remained, constituting a reduction of 56% in the prevalence of pressure ulcers after a period of 40 days as well as 100% prevention with patients at risk of developing pressure ulcers.

During the test, the pressure was relieved with special matrasses/cushions and a periodical change of position by the caregivers. The test was overseeded by Dr. Michael Schwartz and wound nurse Dalia Cohen RN (WCC).

Dr. Michael Schwartz

“I would absolutely recommend the Cleaderma DCB to any practitioner for serious consideration. The effectiveness of the DCB is really impressive. The reduction in the prevalence of pressure ulcers in our patients has decreased significantly..”

Sarah James

“I started using the ointment for my patient with stage 3 pressure ulcers. The result was already visible on the 4th day. On the 10th day, the wounds healed. I recommended continuing to apply the ointment. As a result, the skin began to look healthier. The ointment was used twice a day. No new pressure ulcers have formed.”

Emilia Munro

“I work in a nursing home. I first heard about the DCB ointment from the family of one of the patients admitted to our facilities. We contacted the product's manufacturer and began using the ointment as a therapeutic and preventative agent. The number of pressure ulcers in our nursing home has been significantly reduced!”

we’re here to all your questions

CleaDerma DCB ointment serves as a physiological buffer to assist in the case of pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, and extremely dry xerosis. It promotes the natural healing of dry, damaged, irritated skin. DCB CleaDerma ointment is enriched with Dead Sea Minerals, natural oils, and natural plant extracts that revitalize, rejuvenate, moisturize, and nourish the skin cells and return them to their natural elasticized state.

  • Wash your hands before and after treating the wound.
  • Before using CleaDerma DCB ointment, carefully clean and dry the wound.
  • Stages 1-2 of pressure ulcer treatment: The pressure ulcer and the area around it are in dire need of moisture, nutrition, and oxygen, so you must apply enough ointment to cover the area and skin around, massaging gently until the area is evenly covered; no need to rub it. Not necessary to bandage. We do not add silver, copper, or oxygen to the active ingredient because we want the body to repair the skin naturally; our goal is to stimulate the natural regeneration process. Use an ointment two to three times a day.
  • Stages 3-4 of treating a pressure ulcer:  Use as recommended in stages 1-2. However, it is recommended to cover the wound in stages 3-4.

The product should be stored in a cool and dry place away from heat or exposure to direct sunlight.

The product should not be stored at a temperature exceeding 30C.

The product should not be used after the expiration date or the time period from the opening date specified on the product.

Body areas with pressure wound stage 1 to 4 that has been treated and healed or body areas prone to develop a pressure wound have fragile skin. Although still not showing signs of a pressure wound, the skin is already suffering from deprivation of oxygen, moisture, and nourishment, causing it to dehydrate and lose its elasticity and capability to rejuvenate itself, so by applying unique, specialized atopic ointment such as the CleaDerma DCB to those areas you supply most of the missing materials the skin needs to fight the development of a pressure wound better.

It is essential to remember!
Despite using Calderma DCB, the patient should be rotated from side to side every two hours to release the pressure from the wound area.

The active ingredients in the product are calendula, avocado, sage, Dead Sea minerals, and aloe vera.
